Dr. Luu Doan is one of the top board certified plastic surgeons in the country who is based in Los Angeles. His credentials are not to be trifled with.

Originally from Southern California, Dr. Doan’s family migrated to Connecticut when he was eight. He went to Santa Ana for his primary, junior, and higher education. He then went to Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut where he received his Bachelor’s degree. Eventually, he went to the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center where he finished in the upper third of his class. Fresh from Medical School, Dr. Doan proceeded with his medical training at the University of Arizona in Tucson for his internship, residency, and chief residency in General Surgery. He was also a fellow at Dartmouth Medical Center in New Hampshire for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. In 2003, Dr. Doan went back to his hometown in South California.

With his education and training, Dr. Doan has been through a couple of challenging and complicated surgeries. His confidence in his career stems from the approximately five thousand satisfied patients he has worked for.

He is famous for his expertise in augmentation and reduction mammoplasty, mastopexy or breast lift, and breast implantation procedures.

According to him, honesty and frankness are important during a patient’s interview. The patients have to know what will happen during the procedure and the feasibility of what to expect after the surgery. Dr. Doan also gives importance to the mental state of the client and how it affects the overall result of the procedure. He believes that a patient, when briefed ahead of time, will have lesser ordeal during the recovery phase and will overcome it faster.
